Ella's Jump: A Free Jumping Game for Kids and the Whole Family
Ella's Jump is a cheerful platform game where you help a happy girl named Ella run and jump through five towns in Denmark: Hillerød, Roskilde, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Skagen. Ella runs on her own, so all you have to do is time her jumps. Blue skies, green hills and friendly snails make it an easy game to pick up for kids and grown-ups alike. Play this running and jumping game online for free right here, with no sign-up, no download and no ads inside the game.
Every town has its own weather and famous buildings in the background, from Frederiksborg Castle in the sunshine to Skagen Lighthouse in a storm. There are five levels that get harder as you go, plus a new daily level every day that is the same for everyone. Pick Relaxed mode if you want Ella to start again at the last flag after a slip. That makes it a great first platform game for young kids who are still learning the rhythm.
How to play
- Tap the game, click with your mouse or press the space bar to start. Ella starts running to the right.
- Tap again to jump. A quick tap gives a small hop. Hold your finger or the key down a little longer and Ella jumps higher.
- Jump over thistles, holes, tree stumps and snails. You can also land on top of a snail, and it will give Ella a little boost.
- Land on a fabric trampoline and Ella flies high into the air. She can stand on clouds, planks and flower boxes.
- Collect gingerbread hearts along the way and find the three big stars on every level. The bar at the top shows how far you have come in percent.
- When Ella reaches the finish, the level is complete and the next level unlocks.
Tips and tricks
- Look ahead instead of watching Ella. That way you spot the next obstacle before it arrives.
- A row of gingerbread hearts often shows where a good jump goes. Follow the arc and you will land just right.
- Three thistles in a row need a long jump. Hold the button down from the very start.
- Play in Relaxed mode first, then try Normal once you know the level.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Relaxed and Normal mode?
In Relaxed mode, Ella starts again at the last flag she reached when she hits an obstacle. In Normal mode, she starts over from the beginning of the level. Relaxed is great for kids and for learning a new level.
How do I unlock the next levels?
Finish a level and the next one opens. Your levels, stars and best percentage are saved only on the device you play on. The daily level is always open.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The game works with touch, mouse and keyboard. On a phone it is nicest to hold it sideways so you can see farther ahead.
Is the game suitable for young children?
Yes. There is no violence, no time pressure and no penalty points. The first level is very easy, and in Relaxed mode you can try again from the last flag as many times as you like.
