How to play

1. Tap a white square in the grid. The word turns yellow, and its clue appears in large print above the grid.
2. Type the answer with the keyboard. The cursor moves to the next square in the word on its own.
3. Tap the same square again to switch between Across and Down where two words cross.
4. You can also tap a clue in the Across or Down list to jump straight to that word.
5. Stuck? Press Help. You can reveal a letter or check the word you are working on. The Check button marks every wrong letter in red.
6. When every square is filled in correctly, the puzzle is solved. You can use Undo as often as you like.

Letters revealed with Help are shown in blue with a small yellow corner. On a physical keyboard you can type directly, move with the arrow keys, switch direction with the space bar and jump to the next word with Enter or Tab.

Tips for solving

• Start with the short words. Three and four letter answers are often the easiest, and every letter you find helps with a crossing word.
• Look at the number in parentheses after each clue. It tells you how many letters the answer has.
• Skip a hard clue and come back later. A few crossing letters often make the answer pop into your head.
• Try the Small size for a quick coffee break and the Large size when you want a longer challenge.
