Button Soccer: Free Online Button Football Game for 2
Button Soccer is the classic tabletop game of button football, the one people used to play with coat buttons on the kitchen table, now on your screen. Each player has five round buttons on a green field. Pull a button back like a slingshot, let go, and watch it slide across the field, hit the ball and bounce off the side walls. It is a calm and cozy soccer game you can play online for free, with no sign-up, on your phone, tablet or computer.
Play against the computer on three levels, or pick 2 players and take turns on the same screen. Button Soccer is a great soccer game for 2, for example a grandparent and grandchild on the couch. Want to compete with players everywhere? Try the Daily Challenge.
How to play Button Soccer
- Put your finger or the mouse on one of your own buttons. Red goes first.
- Pull back, away from the direction you want to shoot. The dotted line shows the direction, and the ring around the button shows the power.
- Let go to shoot. If you move back onto the button before you let go, nothing happens.
- Once everything stops moving, it is your opponent’s turn.
- Get the ball all the way over your opponent’s goal line. First to 2 goals wins. Otherwise, whoever has the most goals after 3 minutes wins.
- Use a card before you shoot, if you have one: Power Shot gives double power, Wall blocks your own goal, and Freeze locks your opponent’s button closest to the ball.
Tips for button football
- Aim at the spot right behind the ball that points toward the goal. That way the button sends the ball in the right direction.
- A soft shot is often better than a hard one. The ball is light and travels far.
- Always keep one button at home in front of your own goal. It will save a lot of shots.
- Use the side walls. A ball that hits the side at an angle can sneak past a button.
- Save your Wall card until your opponent is lined up in front of your goal.
