Alma Dance: Free Online Dance Game and Rhythm Game
Alma Dance is a free dance game and rhythm game where you do street dance together with Alma. Arrows slide up the screen to the beat of the music, and your job is to hit them at exactly the right moment. Every time you hit one, Alma does a move: a side step to the left or right, a jump with her arms in the air, or a deep drop with a head nod. Hit a lot in a row and she throws in a little bonus trick.
The music is three hip hop tracks made just for this game: Street Beat is laid back, Skatepark is a bit faster, and Block Party will get you sweating. The game runs right in your browser on phone, tablet and computer, with no sign-up and no download. There is also a memory game, Copy the Dance, where you repeat Alma’s dance step by step.
How to play Alma Dance
- Choose Dance or Copy the Dance under New song, then pick a song and a difficulty.
- Press Play. The music starts and Alma counts you in.
- The arrows slide up toward the target at the top. Tap the same arrow at the bottom of the screen when the arrow reaches the target. On a computer, use the arrow keys.
- Perfect, Good and OK all give points. Keep your combo going and your points are multiplied up to 4 times.
- In Copy the Dance, you first watch Alma’s dance. Then repeat it with the arrows. The dance gets one step longer every round.
Tips for the dance game
- Listen to the drums. The arrows almost always land on a beat, so it helps to nod along.
- Watch the target at the top, not the arrows far below. That makes it easier to get Perfect.
- Use two fingers or two thumbs. Double arrows have to be tapped at the same time.
- In Copy the Dance, say the steps quietly to yourself: left, up, up, right. It makes the dance easier to remember.
